EL-34D
The EL-34D model was designed to give the player sound, touch and dare we say smell of the famous class A/B EL-34 based modern boutique amp. It does not provide crazy super high gain, but gives the player “enough” for playing modern blues or classic 80’s hard rock music.
Using this pedal gives the player a multi-layered texture with melodic harmonics along with natrural overtones and an incredible deep resonance. It will cut through a roaring and cluttered band, and allow you to hear the sound and tone all the way in the back of the room.
The EL-34 tube simulation creates a faster and punchier peaking as well as an enhanced attack reaction. It perfectly follows the intensity of your pick attack. It can purr like a kitten, or can bite like a wolf… When you run your fingers up and down the fret-board you are rewarded with the exact same balance of tone.
No more wimpy sustain in high positions or gummy compression at low position playing. This pedal matches perfectly with humbucking pickups.
EL-84M
The EL-84M model has a sound “simulated” from the popular Class A EL-84 based modern tube boutique amp. The concept of the basic circuit design is similar to the EL-34D model, but it has a different “sonic-tuning” arrangement. We do this by painstakingly using a unique assortment of vintage electronic parts.
The EL-84M has slightly more gain than the EL-34D model. This allows the overdrive to be tuned to a finer texture and creates a fatter high-end.
This pedal is good for all single coil guitar players. The bottom end is tight, sharp, and lacks any harsh presence, which enhances tight bottom rhythmic playing.
No more wimpy sustain in high positions or gummy compression at low position in solo playing.
This pedal is very versatile with all styles of musical accompaniment.
The EL-84M has a bit wilder tone arrangement compared to the sweeter EL-34D model.
